Maggie Cronin

About: Maggie is an award-winning actress, writer and director. Over thirty years, her career has spanned many genres with numerous TV, film, stage, radio and voice over credits. She starred in the Academy Award winning short film The Shore and has appeared on London’s West End and Broadway. Her one woman play, A Most Notorious Woman, won the Stewart Parker Trust/BBC Radio Drama Award and toured extensively across the UK Ireland and the USA. It is published by Lagan Press. Maggie trained at Webber Douglas Academy: She also has a BA Hons Combined Studies from Nene College, Northampton; a Creative Writing MA (Distinction) from Queen’s University Belfast. (She was awarded a “No Alibis” Bookshop Bursary towards MA fees). She also completed the one-year Meisner Technique course at Scott William’s Impulse Theatre Company. Maggie is currently undertaking a PhD at Queen’s University Belfast, researching the “Lived experiences and unique challenges facing women in theatre in Northern Ireland”.
